Jimmy O’Connor has today left Doncaster Rovers to join Championship outfit Derby County.

O’Connor signed for Dave Penney’s Rovers in 2006 from Bournemouth. When O’Driscoll followed him to Rovers the defender shone and played a vital role in lifting the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy that season.

Since then O’Connor has been an ever present member of the first team and became a fan’s favourite. Since Saunders has taken charge, O’Connor has failed to make as bigger impact than in previous seasons.
