PRE-SEASON PREVIEW: Grimsby Town (A)

Doncaster Rovers travel to Grimsby on Tuesday night, for the second in time in 4 days.

Rovers were victorious in their first fixture of pre-season match at Cleethorpes on Saturday. Goals from Chris Brown, Jordan Ball (2) and manager Dean Saunders ensured the 4-2 win.

Grimsby welcomed Rovers to Blundell Park last year in a friendly. Goals from Billy Sharp, James Coppinger and James Baxendale gave Rovers their deserved 3-0 win against the Conference side.

Who are Grimsby Town?

Grimsby were formed in 1878 as Grimsby Pelham but soon changed to Grimsby Town. They have played at Blundell Park in Cleethorpes since 1898.

The Mariners were relegated from the Football League in 2010. They are managed by Rob Scott and Paul Hurst in a joint role. Last season saw the Grimsby side finish in 11th place.

James Coppinger, James O’Connor and Tommy Spurr were all absent from Saturday’s game through illness and injury, but all are available to play in tomorrow’s friendly.
