FIXTURES: 2012/13

The fixtures for the forthcoming League One campaign were released on Monday, with Doncaster Rovers fans eager to see where they will be visiting first,

It came as no surprise that Doncaster Rovers’ opening game is away from home. Walsall will welcome Rovers to the Bescot Stadium on August 18th. First to visit the Keepmoat is Bury, who will travel over the Pennines to face Rovers on Tuesday 21st.

The Christmas period sees Rovers play away at Oldham Athletic on Boxing Day and Preston North End on the 29th. New Year’s Day provides slight relief when Sheffield United visit Doncaster.

The season finishes with an away trip to Brentford on April 27th while Rovers’ final home fixture sees Notts County visit the Keepmoat on April 20th.

Rovers were also drawn against York City, who return to the Football League after an eight year period in the Conference in the League Cup. A date is yet to be announced for the first round tie.
